NonnaFlex Core
What's NonnaFlex? NonnaFlex is a highly bendable, highly sustainable material that we assemble some of our topper collections with.
Since the introduction of our unmatched NonnaFlex, we continued to receive questions regarding durability, reactions to various weather conditions, and care.
NonnaFlex is a bendable yet mighty strong material that is paper thin. Because of how thin and flexible it is, it's a favorite within the Magnetic Eyewear community for more reasons than one.
- NO SHAPING - The toppers are so flexible, and cut to hug your frames without shaping.
- BENDABLE - The toppers are very bendable unlike anything ever offered before.
- TRAVEL FRIENDLY - You can toss these in your purse, in your travel bag, or in your glove compartment without worries of snapping.
- WEATHER FRIENDLY - Toppers don't become rigid in the cold or softened in the heat. They're strong and built to last!
- STACKABLE - Because NonnaFlex is paper thin, stacking has never been easier, lighter, and more fun!
- DETAILED CUTS - NonnaFlex responds perfectly when cutting details like our filagree or highly detailed hybrids with multiple cutouts.
- STORAGE - Because NonnaFlex won't warp and doesn't need shaping, storage is simple. You can stack them, hang them, keep them in a box or your makeup bag.

ASSEMBLY - NonnaFlex is a highly bendable material that didn't require us to change our assembly process used for our solid core toppers. We assemble our toppers exactly the same. The only difference is the core.
How does NonnaFlex behave? You can flex and bend them because they're strong and will not snap like a solid core topper would. They won't get sassy in extreme weather like cold, heat, humidity, or dry conditions. The flexing and bending is a game changer compared to solid core that can snap or misbehave during extreme weather conditions.
How flexible are they? Very flexible. You can bend them, just don't FOLD THEM. Folding them creates a crease which will compromise the topper.
What about FILAGREE and CUT OUT toppers? Although the assembly is the same for all our NonnaFlex Collections, cutting a filagree is very different than cutting a standard or hybrid topper that has a solid body. Filagree cuts remove a large amount of product, leaving very detailed lace like cuts and thin margins. Continued bending or creasing any of our filagree designs assembled on NonnaFlex will compromise the topper and can risk the crease separating. It won't snap, but they can tear if creasing continues.
NonnaFlex is meant to bend, so don't be scared to handle them...just don't over do it! They're bendable so you have no worries when handling, traveling, or dropping. Although it's fun to bend, twist, and test the waters, it's important that you love them for their durability and refrain from force bending them. They're smart, so let them hug and do what they are supposed to!
In the past, there have been creators that offered 'flexible toppers' but the overall feedback was they were made in a mold, or very sticky to touch. NonnaFlex is NOT made in a mold, nor is it sticky. It's a unique unmatched industry product.
Solid core acrylic is available for select collections, but will always be available by special request for all collections that feature NonnaFlex as the default core.
